Pupils from Kildrum Primary School, along with Cumbernauld College students, have handed over a cheque for £478.43 to Yorkhill’s Royal Hospital for Sick Children.
The money was raised during the school’s health week, which featured a Footsteps event, organised by Cumbernauld College’s HNC Events team. The unique Footsteps event gave pupils the chance to participate in two chosen sports, with training provided by students on the NC Sports Coaching course, under the supervision of their lecturer.
The schoolchildren also tried out fitness computer games and stopped by the healthy eating tasting station to try some snacks provided by Tesco Extra, Co-op and Eden Spring.
