Employers Get Involved

The Animal Care and Environmental Studies department held their first 'Employers and the Curriculum' event at Cumbernauld’s Business Centre.

The aim of these events is for employers from Acres Vets, Horse Haven, Crowbank Kennels, Amazonia, Debbie’s Dog Grooming, The Association of British Riding Schools and the SSPCA to come together and find out more about the related courses at the College.

Employers discussed the current/potential partnership arrangements and developing a direct input in to the College curriculum. Some of the comments from the employers at the end of this event were:
  • “Having attended tonight’s course I would be much more likely to accept volunteer placements and work with the college in other areas”.

  • “I was previously unaware of the course curriculum and its potential relevance to our business”.

  • “It was interesting to hear feedback from other placement providers”.
